ABOUT SUPER SLOW MOTION MONTAGE
Super Slow Motion Montage is a 3 part performance art series broadcast over the internet exploring the space between art and athletics. A transformation in real time, in relative slow motion, welcome to the exhibit.
SUPER SLOW MOTION LIFTS
SSML is the millennial man under surveillance in his cyberpunk dojo. Listening only to Shade's album Truman. SSML seeks to reveal the body as canvas, symbolize the commitment necessary to rebuild the fyucha, and to call into question the relationship between tech, vulnerability, and performance.
SSML premiered on 5.21.2019 and closed on 7.10.2019.
SUPER SLOW MOTION BICYCLE BUILD
The most poignant piece of the series, SSMBB is a reactionary call to the famous post modern performances of destroying a piano. These performances were an exercise is deconstructionism. The tearing down of form. SSMBB is instead the building up of form, the assembly of an athletic instrument, the bicycle.
SSMBB was performed LIVE on DLive on 6.24.2019.
SUPER SLOW MOTION SWIM
The common backdrop to art and athletics is setting. The stadium, the theater, the museum, the golf course, the pool. The stages of competitive performance and beautiful display. SSMS is a one hour POV swim celebrating these environments.
SSMS was performed summer 2019.
